components. We recommend that a service manual pertaining to your vehicle be obtained for specific torque values, wiring diagrams and other related equipment.
These manuals are normally available at automotive dealerships and parts stores.

NOTES
1. This adapter kit is only compatible with 23 tooth input gears. If you are attempting to use a 21 spline transfer case,
you will need to use kit 50-5708 or change the input gear to a Toyota input gear (Part #36212-35020). The approximate
cost is $175.00 for this new input shaft.
2. The adapter kit is only compatible with a transfer case that is top shifted. If the transfer case does not have a shifter
included, you must make the necessary changes to have the transfer case accept a top shifter.
3. The new sleeve will need to be installed onto the 5 speed output shaft as illustrated in the drawing. It would be a good
idea to inspect and check the fit of the new sleeve onto the transfer case 23 spline input shaft. We have made the
spline engagement to be more than a slip fit similar to the original sleeve used in the Toyota chain driven transfer case
design.
4. This adapter can be used for either the installation of a Crawler Dual Transfer Case application or simply changing
the chain-driven transfer case to a gear-driven design.
5. The adapter plate has been made with a thin design so that possible driveline modifications could be very minimal if
any at all.
